This year, a group of International School of Zug and Luzern students participated in the The Hague International Model United Nations, its theme being “Borders in a globalised world”. The conference can be described as a ‘mock-United Nations’ in which students from all over the world come together to debate current events and topics of international importance – guided by previously written UN resolutions. Although as students we are not actually able to make any binding changes, we were able to gain knowledge about global issues, educate others, and most importantly, become inspired to make a difference! The week was a fabulous opportunity and one that has helped us to develop our skills in researching, public speaking, debating and writing.
