The Swedish School of Geneva was celebrating its 40th anniversary last year, making it one of the oldest international schools in the region.
At the Swedish School the student is at the core and our children take pleasure in lifelong learning. Starting from the individual’s background, language and knowledge we support the student’s continuous learning and knowledge development.
At our trilingual school, instruction is given in French and Swedish or French and English. The high level of education, combined with a safe and creative environment, makes students from the Swedish School well-equipped for continued education in both local and international schools.

“Love, Love, Love the Swedish school. Small classes, attentive and caring teachers, quality education, and my son is happy! What more could a parent ask for?!”
“We have always thought that the Swedish school was great, but now we realize just how great it is! You are all incredibly talented educators and are very good with the children. Both of our children loved going to school and never struggled in the morning and it was clear that they were learning things every day.”
“We really hope that more students will experience a school environment at its best!”
“My kids love to go to school! Not a single dark morning is there a whimper about going to school!”
“Our children have had amazing years at the Swedish school of Geneva. You are amazing and you are pursuing a very professional operation. Your greatest strength is the way you meet and respond to each student based on his or her needs. We also appreciate your close and honest contact with the parents.”
“The staff and the school are amazing. They focus on the children and you can clearly see your child’s development each day. We are fully satisfied with your school.”
“We are very pleased with the preschool and we feel that the staff are always responsive to our comments. This group is perfect and we think that our children will develop at their own pace.”
“I’ve put my kids in the Swedish School because nearly all the research shows that a strong native language facilitates the learning of other languages. I also think it is important that children keep in touch with their Swedish roots; language is an important medium. In addition, if our kids ever go back to Sweden, it is important that they can read and write the language, not just speak it. It is wonderful that reading and writing are taught at a school, it reinforces the teaching that is done in the home and offers an opportunity for children to learn in groups and not individually, so it becomes a group dynamic when learning.”
